POM (polyacetal) is a semi-crystalline construction polymer with a high crystallisation degree and a natural milky-white colour. Its structure ensures a perfect mix of strength, rigidity and ductility.
We offer POM in two forms: the POM-C copolymer and the POM-H homopolymer.
POM-C, POM-H (polyacetal) – a semi-crystalline construction polymer with a high crystallisation degree and a natural milky-white colour. It is an engineering plastic. The material is available in the form of boards, floats, cylinders and hollows manufactured by extrusion or calendaring. It occurs as a homopolymer (POM-H) or a copolymer (POM-C).
POM-C (natural or black) – high fatigue strength, high ductility at low temperatures and high slip parameters. It can be an alternative to metals, hardening plastics and hard mineral materials.
POM-C – the polyacetal copolymer modified with fibre glass. Compared to the regular POM-C, this modification exhibits a higher rigidity and flexibility modulus, as well as higher creep resistance and superior fatigue strength.
POM-H (natural) – has excellent dimensional stability, high strength, high rigidity, high impact resistance and low abrasive wear. The polyacetal homopolymer is also distinguished by chemical resistance to petroleums and solvents.
