PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is a thermoplastic, environmentally friendly polyester available in the form of transparent, white, milky or non-reflective boards. Also available in UV-stabilised versions.
Types of polyester boards:
VIVAK boards – made of a thermoplastic copolyester. Can be used for applications requiring contact with foodstuffs and are fully recyclable. Do not contain halides or cadmium and are perfectly combustible. Can be used at the thickness lower than other transparent materials. Remain transparent during heating. The VIVAK boards do not contain UV stabilisers. Use VIVAK UV boards for if long outdoor life is required.
VIVAK DESIGN boards – a transparent material, double-sided matt and easy to heat-form. The surface of the board remains matt after extruding.
AXPET boards – neutral thermoplastic PE boards. Can be used for applications requiring contact with foodstuffs and are fully recyclable. They do not have UV stabilisers, but they can be adapted for short-term outdoor use.
